Dr. Adams is focused on providing the patient with the best vision services possible. With that said, he has invested in numerous, very specific equipment for testing your eyes. Below is a list of equipment we have in our office to better serve your eyecare needs.
OCT or Optical Coherence Tomography - This machine gives Dr. Adams a 3 dimensional view of your retina, macula, and optic disc. This machine is vital in the care of your eyes in that it can detect diseases that might go unnoticed.
Diopsys Nova - The Diopsys NOVA Vision Testing System provides the doctor with painless, non-invasive vision tests that utilize electrophysiological technology, including Visual Evoked Potential (VEP) and pattern Electroretinography (ERG). Click on the DIOPSYS logo below, it will direct you to their website for more information.
Fundus Camera - The fundus camera is a photograph of the interior surface of the eye including retina, optic disc, and macula. This camera will allow Dr. Adams to monitor the progression of a disease.
Visual Field Machine - is an eye examination that can detect dysfunction in central and peripheral vision which may be caused by various medical conditions such as glaucoma, stroke, brain tumors, or other neurological defects.
By having these vital pieces of equipment, Dr. Adams does not have to refer you out of the office to have these tests run and then come back another day. Dr. Adams can diagnose any problems the same day during your annual eye examination.
