Dr. Adams is a board certified Ophthalmologist, earning his medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. He completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine Hospital Consortium. Subsequently, Dr. Adams completed a specialized fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. He specializes in pediatric ophthalmology and eye muscle disorders in children and adults.
Dr. Adams is the immediate past president of the New Mexico Academy of Ophthalmology and his professional affiliations include: The American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, theAmerican Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
Dr. Adams' wife, Cristina, received her master’s degree in Spanish and Bilingual Education from Columbia University. They have two children, Alexander and Angelica. He and his wife both enjoy outdoor activities and volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America. Dr Adams is the Scoutmaster of Troop 410 chartered by the Prince of Peace Church.
